Step-by-step: how to cancel

Step 1 — Gather your documents. You'll want your contract/agreement, the vehicle VIN, your account or loan number, and proof of any triggering event (payoff letter, refinance confirmation, trade-in paperwork, or total-loss settlement).

Step 2 — Start with the selling dealer. Acura Care contracts are normally cancelled through the dealership's finance department. Tell them you want to cancel and ask them to submit the request to the administrator. Get the request and date in writing.

Step 3 — Go direct if the dealer stalls. If the dealer drags their feet, contact Acura Care directly at 1-888-682-2872. Dealers earn commission on these products and sometimes delay cancellations.
