Can you cancel Endurance?
Yes. Endurance contracts are cancellable, and what you get back depends on timing: a full refund within the first 30 days (no claims filed (30-day money-back guarantee)), and a prorated refund for the unused portion after that. The unused premium is money you're owed — it doesn't belong to the dealer or administrator.

Step-by-step: how to cancel
Step 1 — Gather your documents. You'll want your contract/agreement, the vehicle VIN, your account or loan number, and proof of any triggering event (payoff letter, refinance confirmation, trade-in paperwork, or total-loss settlement).
Step 2 — Call to request the cancellation form. Call (866) 432-4443 and ask for the official cancellation form. Endurance reviews your contract and sends it to you.
Step 3 — Complete and notarize the form. This is the step almost everyone misses with Endurance: the form must be notarized or the request is treated as incomplete. Most banks and credit unions notarize free for members.
Step 4 — Submit the form. Send the completed, notarized form to the address printed on it, by a trackable method, and keep a copy.
Final step — Track the refund. Processing time varies by state. If the contract was financed, the refund may be applied to your lender rather than sent to you.Follow up if it doesn't arrive on schedule.
How much will you get back?
Cancel within the first 30 days (no claims filed (30-day money-back guarantee)) and you're typically owed a full refund. After that, your refund is prorated by active months or miles used, less any approved claims.
As a rule of thumb, the prorated math is: (months remaining ÷ total term) × price paid − fees. If the contract was financed, the refund may be applied to your lender rather than sent to you.

Provider-specific tips
- The Endurance cancellation form must be notarized. Without notarization the request is treated as incomplete and no refund is processed. Most banks and credit unions notarize for free for members.
- Paying off your car loan does not cancel an Endurance contract — it's a separate agreement you must cancel on its own.
What reduces your refund
- Claims already paid. If a covered repair was approved, that amount is typically subtracted from your refund.
- Cancellation fee. Endurance charges an administrative fee.
- Refund method.Pro-rata is consumer-friendly; confirm your contract isn't calculated by the "Rule of 78s," which front-loads cost.
Common questions
Do I have to notarize the cancellation form?
Yes — this is specific to Endurance and the single most common reason refunds get delayed. Budget a quick trip to a notary.
Does paying off my car loan cancel my Endurance warranty?
No. The warranty is a separate contract. You have to cancel it separately, and there may be unused premium to reclaim.
